RESEARCH: Oh Wonder previous music videos
Due to the fact that Jerry Folk does not have more than one previous music video, I looked at Oh Wonder's (the original artist) videos.
The majority of their high achieving songs have their own music videos, but my favourite three were the videos for Drive, All We Do and Lose It.

I liked this video because there was an interesting narrative that featured both members of the duo. The video was set in rural american desert giving the video a retro ambiance, featuring 1950's style American diner and Ford Mustang. there were also a variation in shot types and accompanied by the consistent colour palette, it enables the viewer to feel present in the setting of the music video. Anoher reason i enjoyed this video was because the narrative seemed cliché at first, however subtle clues throughout the video lead to a plot twist that creates a suddenly unconventional narrative.

This music video is also very unconventional and is more of a documentary/short film. It was produced by multiple filmmakers from around the globe, with each one given the same question to get answers for - "What does it mean to be human?". What makes this video so interesting is that the clips of interviews made by the filmmakers simply plays over the top of the music; diverting the audience's attention away from the song itself, and towards the topic being discussed, which is unusual for a music video as their main purpose is to promote the song.

The music video for 'Lose It' has more stereotypical features of a music video as it shows singing and dancing, however the context in which the video is set makes it stand out. The video features dancers auditioning for the 'real' music video, and they are later surprised by a group of ballet dancers performing, and the two styles of dance intertwine with each other. Meaning that the auditioning dancers were already featuring in the music video without knowing, creating a simple yet complex video.
