RESEARCH: My chosen track and artist
My chosen track for my coursework is Jerry Folk's remix of 'Lose It', originally performed by Oh Wonder.

I first came across the song whilst at concert where Jerry Folk was one of the supporting acts. I soon became a fan of Jerry Folk's work and when we were informed that the genre of our music videos was to be dance music, this track immediately sprung to mind.
I chose this track because I think it suits the genre of dance music well, because although it is slower in some parts of the song, there are multiple build ups and break downs that lead into a more upbeat chorus, which is an iconic aspect of dance (particularly EDM) tracks. These changes in tempo could be used to influence the narrative of the video which would help the track and video compliment each other and become one.
The track also has a continuous steady beat in the background throughout which I thought would be useful when editing as short, sharp cuts could be timed well with this beat. As well as this, the track is over 3 minutes long, with a section of the song at around the 3 minute mark that could be used as an ending point if I fade the music out for the few remaining seconds.
